Merchandise shipped to Illinois and New-York is subject to charge of sales tax unless the purchase is made by a state-authorized tax-exempt entity, or by a reseller with valid reseller ID.
Sales tax will be calculated once you checkout using Paypal or Google checkout based on your locations defined above. Even though our website does not show any tax, does not mean you will not be charged. This is just a design process that we are going thru, where we are not showing any tax at this moment on our website.
If your organization is tax-exempt, or if you are a reseller with a valid reseller's permit, or if it is a government entity, please read the following instructions to ensure your Direct From Mines account reflects the correct tax status. Once you receive your first winning bid confirmation, please notify us of your tax status by following these instructions:
Tax-Exempt Organizations
If your organization is tax-exempt (not-for-profit), simply fax a copy of your government-issued tax-exempt letter to (484)-910-5065, along with your order number.
OR
ResellerPurchasers
If you are a reseller with a valid reseller's permit, fax us your business license along with reseller permit to (484)-910-5065 along with your order number. Please ensure the form is signed and a valid reseller's number has been provided, otherwise sales will continue to be subject to tax.
OR
United States Government Purchasers
Sales tax does not apply to purchases made by the United States Government. In order to document that a sale has been made to the U.S. Government, we need to obtain a copy of one of the following:
- Federal tax ID certificate
- Certificate of exempt status
- U.S. Government Credit Card copy
- Government Voucher
- Check from the State/Federal/U.S. Government payable to Direct From Mines, Inc
Once the information has been processed, future orders will not be subject to tax.

NOTE: If you are an individual purchasing on behalf of a tax exempt organization, please follow the instructions above. You may also be required to provide a signed letter on letterhead from the tax exempt organization stating you are authorized to purchase on their behalf and fax us a copy of your driver license.
There is No Sales-Tax on purchases to Canada or any other country. You may be liable for any import duty charges that are required. Direct From Mines is not responsible for any of these charges in any order or any size shipments.
